The car looks great. I’ve owned a Miata with a hardtop and it was awful. In winter, sure, whatever. Other than that, it’s a million times better with the top down.

lol, I recently got a hardtop for my Miata and it’s the best thing ever. No more leaks! No more excessive wind noise! The car is livable now! I hate convertibles.

Well the top is removable! I think I would prefer to have a hard top at some point. Then I would never need to use the soft top again. I find my Miata to be louder with the top up than down (with the soft top). I drive 99% of the time with it down but it would be very nice to have a hard top for those few times I want to drive and actually need a top.

The fastback top is nowhere near as removable as the factory hard top. You have to replace the trunk lid every time you take it off. Gas cap too, or you’ll look like a crazy person.
Trust me though, I considered it. It’s just a waste.

Oh are you saying you had a fast back top? I don’t think I would ever want one of those. I was just talking about the normal OEM hard tops. Those are awesome on NA/NB

I was referring to the fastback top, which is just a worse version of the OE-style hardtop. Better looking, but eh.
Unless you’re racing in a series that requires one or it’s snowing, no hardtops!

Top down in the snow is definitely the best though! I actually would want a hard top more so for the rain since that shit is annoying. Every time I have driven in the snow though, top has been down. Makes for an interesting arrival to the ski mountain. NVH though has got to be better with any sort of hard top I would hope. That is probably the biggest complaint other people have when they ride in my Miata. I guess I have just gotten used to it though.

Looks so nice. Reminds me of a prior car I wanted. My 1st college GF’s dad owned a British racing green one and I drove it whenever I wanted.
